With the promise of a fairly nice afternoon on Friday I decided to see if I could see the Short Eared Owls. It poured down with rain and hail while we were waiting but when it went over the Owls appeared, unfortunately a little distant but I was pleased to see them before it got dark.

I took another visit to see if I could See the Short Eared Owls on the Cranborne Chase after four unsuccessful attempts in the last few weeks. Two, the wrong time, once when a rogue shower came through they came out afterward but in a distance next time the road was completely flooded we had wellies but no Owls! This time the road was dry and after waiting a little while two came out to hunt just before dusk, beautiful sight.
